Beautiful capture Nikolais! Reminds me of Texas, but instead of red flowers it would be carpeted in bluebonnets. Excellent

I've never been to Russia, but I've known many who came from there, and many spoke of the large open fields throughout the land, at least many years ago; and this is how I'd picture them. Your composition again reflects your sense of groupings, and often '3's; and you put them together with stunning separation and yet cohesion. The field in your shot is vast; the sky, too; and the poles & lines are in a place that leads us from back to front obliquely, and therefore leaves the rest of the shot wholly open. (And they are a wonderful musical line, like a melody against all that harmony.) There are trees/bushes way back, and leaving them there is a perfect reminder that this field goes on forever. Open, simple, stark, striking and beautiful, with a great sense of the 'place' of objects in nature. And the next flower shot is beautiful too, having the luminous effect almost of a vision or dream; beautiful shots, both. This is stunning.

I'm still planning on getting back to that particular corner of the earth, and pictures like this strengthen my resolve. Russia is number one on my list of future homes. Hungary and Estonia and Finland are on that list too...hmmm...I seem to be drawn to places with rich histories and cold winters. On the flipside of that, I'm always drawn to wide open vistas that don't look "local" from an American point of view, despite the fact that the USA is full of wide open spaces like this. The spirit is different, however, and you've captured that perfectly, especially since "spirit" and "soul" are virtually impossible to capture. You've done it, however, and I particularly love the richness of the colors here and the clarity of the light. This is superb work.

Gorgeous photo, Nikolay! Actually I wrote a story (in Russian) related to this image. You can read it here: http://www.litsovet.ru/index.php/material.read?material_id=235725
