Description
Stopped by the Sunset Magazine doo in Menlo Park today, and this was my favorite part, the vertical wall of succulents. Someone has worked very hard on it, to be sure.
ND70, 105mm lens from 6 feet and three shots stitched together into 6000x3000 pixels.
It's wonderful to see this print publishing enterprise apparently doing well. Their message of home improvement and thrift was surely resonant today and with perfect weather it's hard to disagree. Just a few miles away on the other side of US 101 is Communication Arts magazine, another of my favorites, again surviving well too. So what did it do? I came home and threw away about 600 lbs of old magazines, no kidding. I figure about 1800 lbs more down the road to get rid of 30 years of 10 or more subscriptions at a time.

I found myself just staring and studying this photo .. all the detail ... and the fact that this is 3 photos stitched. I tried that a few times, and seem to only do shorelines.. anything else, it becomes a mess lol Guess this is another thing on my 'gotta learn' list... I love this.
