Description

Or more commonly known as Wildebeast. This species is common in Etosha. Here seen drinking at a huge muddy waterhole. There are also black backed Gnu in Namibia, those however are introduced species, you don't see them here at Etosha as Etosha is a strictly regulated nature reserve. Kind regards.. Shaun.

Excellent shot Shaun! You most probably noticed that they are always feeding close to or between zebra. It apparently has something to do with one species eating the taller grass and one the shorter grass... Anyway - just some useless trivia! :)

Another wildlife image to enjoy my friend.. Carin mentioned something I had noticed, and they also have quite similar markings which blend in with the Zebra even more from a distance
