Description

Hi All, here's another shot of a quaint English villiage, which I thought it looked a peaceful dreamy shot of quiet village life. That was until a friend of mine, who lives in the village, told me the big house at the bottom of the lane use to be the village undertakers! The thought of the amount of locals who have 'laid at rest' in there kind of takes the shine off it for me, but then if you're going to be laid at rest it is a beautiful setting. Tracey xxxxx

Tracey, Great shot, it looks incredibly peaceful. I could so see myself living somewhere like that. Great capture.

It is definitely a beautiful place. Awesome shot, but you're right -- knowing that place was an undertaker's kinda lessens the charm somewhat.

Yeah! I heard that death is a bit of a downhill trek!, People dying to get into that place I'm sure! Hopefully that place is now a pub where the only dying allowed is the brain cells Great shot

Lovely image and so typical of many villages here in Wiltshire.. Think I would prefer to be laid to rest by an undertaker there than some cold slab in the middle of a City!

Good viewpoint, I would have lowered the frame to exclude the top left house bits, this than gives a more closed feeling.

A wonderful image. Gives a real sense of permanence, of roots. Ancient stones and all that. Here in California we tear down almost everything after a few years.
