Description
For those new and unfamiliar to this mini series, I repeat the following information:
Captured 4/29/09, around 7:20 AM, about .35 miles/.563 kilometers from my place.
These beauties are located in a park on a sizeable garden plot dedicated in 1998 to the members, now deceased, who served in the city's Woman's Club between 1922 and 1997. Hence, the plants receive tender loving care.
On that particular morning the flowers had just received a refreshing shower, compliments of the sprinkler system, which was most fortuitous, because with the waterdrops on the blooms, and the sun hanging low above the horizon, I proceeded on a nonstop foto frenzy.
A ZOOM would bring this to new heights of viewing pleasure.

Another set of brilliant shower shots; these are the freshest looking roses, I guess those ladies pamper the heck out of them! Great work, Harry!

I love roses, the second one down looks like the ones I have, The Tiffany Rose, My youngest sister is named after that rose. So I have some growing for her. She is four years older then my daughter and challenged, so it makes her feel very special to know I have a bush planted that shares her name. Beautiful shots, all of them. I am impatiently waiting for mine to bloom, I have small buds.

Tehe .... with it being number 113 and belonging to the "mini series, I'm wondering how many the full length feature might hold? Cool shots though O'lboy, and I love the water drops too!

beautiful once more, and I'll fav this for all of the recent rose expeditions, all of which are beauteous. I love to see people pick favorites of your montages: But having drawn & painted the things, I love them all. When you paint or draw a flower, you learn all its furrows and mysterious recesses, etc. And you realize that their beauty is only part of their power, that they are little universes, little colonies; and since they attract pollenization & are one of the sexual organs of the plant kingdom, they are rightfully clad to the gills. I came to appreciate the flower only after going crazy drawing them. (And btw, some do it so much better than I. Tara has gorgeous flower-paintings in her early gallery; Helanker keeps posting them; and there are others who do great service to these mysterious beasts.) Still, having made the journey, seeing your montages reminds me all over again, how powerful each flower is. This is in part because you 'solo' them in many cases, and you always capture joy and freshness—I mean, I've seen hardly any images in your gallery, incl cars & planes, that didn't feel fresh & exuberant—so, for all their mysteries, these flowers still shine & dance. This montage is also special for its variety. Sorry I can't comment on all of them—catching up is really a big job!—but know I've seen them as they came out, and loved every one.
