I'm older than you and I don't recall that song at all, although I have heard of Three Dog Night. Maybe I'm so old my mind is just slipping away. Lilacs have special personal meaning for me, too, so this brought forth a very pleasant memory. A beautiful photo and a wonderful memory. Thank you.

Beautiful lilacs indeed. But my music isn't playing...I've not heard "Pieces of April." Hangs head, but appreciates colors, details and the wonderful aroma. :-)

first concert went to as a young 20 year old was 3 Dog Night. Still remember standing there in the night sky of the open arena way up in the back. Thank you for the reminder of innocence

The magnanimous fragrance of lilacs to me equals Proust's madeleine. I remember Three Dog Night vividly, but not this particular song: it might not have reached the European continent.
