Description

Trish had plenty of time to reflect. If only she had not gone on the diving holiday or if she had stopped after her first mermaid when both mermaid and client had been happy. Then instead of being labelled a mermaid trafficker she might have claimed to run a mermaid dating bureau. Much to Trish's horror Mermen and women were sexually compatible, a point Mermen delighted in demonstrating. The children had legs but also gills. In Mercity there were no cigarettes but worst of all her diet consisted of raw fish, seaweed and boiled water with occasionally the treat of a turtles egg. She hated raw fish but needed to survive and the Mergirls would laugh at her obvious discomforture. She was known universally in the colony simply as "The Bad One" and her plight was regarded as supremely just. She had some use to the Mer race as a translater of Commercial treaties now being established with the land dwellers. Escape was impossible without breathing apparatus so she resigned herself to her plight.
