Description

we had the same strange clouds that I recently posted late early evening. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1889620&member after taking many shots they dissipated but late evening after the sun was set some appeared again soon enough to turn bright orange. I lost power yesterday a couple of times and one wave of thunderstorms that past was recorded as having 3400+ lightening strikes with in a short time and went right over my house.inside of 12 hours we had 11 inches of rain hope you enjoy and any comments

Richard, this is getting, as Alice said in Wonderland, curiouser and curiouser- on Memorial day we had a storm which had hail stones the size of baseballs- with high winds , lightning and torrential rain. Hundreds of cars and homes were severely damaged by the hail, mine included-($ 4,000 worth). It all came out of a sky like the one you captured. Now that is weird!-- Excellent image by the way- but a little bit ominous!

Wow... but the warning was there with the red sky at night bit but heck 11 inches of rain must have drenched you. Great capture.

Interesting image. Same here. We had hailstorms and snow in the high country. It's getting to be a daily event, severe turbulence and a few amazing sunsets. It makes sense just to give them numbers. Hehe.

Stunning capture and motif, Richard. Strange and beautiful cloud formation. Heavy weather over there.... Very heavy rain and winds in the part of Denmark i live also. Lasted for a few days... felt exactly like a atumn storm in June. #:o)
