Description

...mmm..couldn't find a catagory for trees! A tree in my mothers garden. Yes I know..I thought twice about uploading this one. After all it is just a faily unremarkable tree (and I don't even know what type of tree) with an old bench underneath it. When I was a kid (a long time ago) and agile it was a wonderful tree. There was a swing hanging from it (an inverted tyre cut out to be a perfect flexible seat). It was a challenge to climb too and was good for hiding curling up in its branches and reading and studying bugs and other things growing on it. We had a hammock strung from it's big branches too...and plenty sibling squabbles about whose turn it was!. On this lovely island I live there are very few trees. I do miss them. Thanks for LOoking Fairy Blessings Emma

There are those of us who tend to see things differently than others. To most, this may be a photo of an old tree with a quaint bench at its base. But for the rest of us, we see a member of our family, a best friend, a wise teacher, and a comforting nanny. What catagory would this be best in? How about Special Place In The Heart. Thank you for sharing.

I love your tree. I have a tree too that I really love. I can really relate to your story of your tree - climbing it, hanging from it, etc. Ah, childhood memories. Wonderful photo!
