Description

A friend and I went on a hike to an area that used to be a rock quarry years ago. It has since be allowed to go back to nature, with a little help from some groups dedicated to water/land restoration. Along this hike, I saw this flower and was taken by the similarity to the common dandelion, but if you look at the flower, it isn't like any dandelion I've ever seen. Thought it might be Indian Paint Brush, but it's not. There's a flower here in NY that we call by that name, which apparently isn't the right name. Just something local. Anyway, it's a terrific macro!

It looks like it was hand made... it looks fake... yet the eye tells me it is real and I suspect you're taking a picture of a real flower, but yet, I have to ask... is this man made?
