Description
If you visit Arequipa Peru, El Monasterio de Santa Catalina is a definite must see.
It was founded in 1579 as a convent.
It is still a working convent but in newer buildings.
You can take a tour of the old convent.
This is one of the picturesque courtyards you will see. The dome in the background is part of the monastery. It has a name, but I forgot it.
