Description
Dug out this old model I made and went for yet another render in Carrara.
At first I had it like I wanted it, but then I wanted to have motion blur in the background. After rigging the camera to the model and moving it to get enough blur, I couldn't get the particle smoke trail to behave at all. After getting tired of adjusting things and doing multiple test renders, I went over it with postwork. Otherwise the rest of the render is Carrara 6.2.
Next time I'll probably not move the model, and make the background move instead. Then I know the particles will be easier to work with. But that's hindsight, and I've had enough rendering already to get this far.
The model itself was made in Wings3D, and you can find it at ShareCG. (Just look for my name there, and browse through my models.)

overall it looks great. I wish carrara hadnt given you so much trouble, but you worked it out well. those are some great shaders and the lighting is good too. very nice work.

A BD5J! I fell in love with that airplane in the James Bond movie and have seen it perform at several air shows. Fun stuff.

nice work. i had forgotten this plane, the engine was a Microturbo job normally used as an APU on larger aircraft.

Excellent sense of speed. The model seems to be a very accurate reproduction of the one Bond piloted through the hangar in Octopussy. Very well done.
