UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Aye-yah, lunch.

Theres nothing sad about this................he's probably just on his lunch break from a job he could well love. A good friend of mine works all day in a factory and he honestly wouldn't want it any other way! A hard days work is good for the mind and soul...not to mention a person's self esteem. Good luck to him!

I think he works hard & he certainly has a good lunch to set him on for the afternoon. His boots look old but maybe they are comfy, & he doesn't want to part with them.

Excellent human interest capture. I agree with 'blinkings'. A hard working fellow on his lunch break. Reminds me of my husband who wears bib overalls and works hard every day.

excellent shot! i don't find it particularly sad, he's probably enjoyng his lunch and a moment of rest. I adore street shots, and it's true that children and old people are easy targets, but nowadays one has to be careful with children, and above all angry parents!

A most fortuitous capture, Bill! Every so often I see individuals similar to this one out on the streets of my town, in various degrees of dress and personal hygiene. They appear to be homeless. It looks like this gentleman would need a comb to clean the taco crumbs from his beard after his repast.

Reminds of Norman Rockwell....very sweet!!

Lovely, and I think he is going to enjoy his lunch.

I wonder how often he sits just there, enjoying his lunch, taking a break from work. Does his heart lift when he sees it will be warm enough to eat outdoors, or is it just a habit? Are tacos a treat, or his daily fare? You've sucked me in, my friend. Now my mind is going a mile a minute!

It's ZZ Top guy! And the other ZZ Top guy, was driving the miniature train! Well caught Bill. I missed this one. Rob.

The one thing I love about people who are into photography is that they see meaning and beauty in the simplest of things...here I see a man who is a very hard worker at whatever his job is...taking his lunch break to get some nourishment and then return to his job...and at the end of the day I see him returning home to a wife of many years who has a warm dinner waiting....
