It's been eight years since my father died and although I know he's always with me sometimes it's just so hard...there are so many things that I want to share with him, so many times I wish I could just pick up the phone and say "Hey, guess what?" or "You won't believe the weather -- yeah, I got tons of pictures for you!"
I love you, Daddy.

My father died last November, he'd been very ill for a long time. I had two brothers die in 2004 within months of each other. Dad was not doing so well then, I remember hoping at that time, he would just last the year, so as not to have three in the same. I totally understand how suddenly one's life is so different, and utterly changed forever. I do so sorely miss what I used to take for granted, But I do have all those wonderful memories,....as do you, or you wouldn't miss him so much. I find it easier when things get rough, to focus on the good times that were shared. And I am so very grateful for them,....to have had those to remember forever and always. I've decided that I would rather have these, and lost those I loved, than to never have had either. Thanks for sharing this, It is good to be reminded of things. Fare thee well. Dave

This is absolutely so touching, Lost my dad in 1990, and my mom in 2001, I wish so for those moments back when I can pick up the phone, and share things with them. I miss my parents sooo much! Thank you for sharing this! It's beautiful in it's own way for those who understand! (((hugs)))
