Description

Morning all :o) I`m starting to see a few benefits for some spring planting in the new garden .These Flag Iris are just starting to look their best now and add some colour to the borders . I never thought I would be able to pack in smoking and yet here I am 4 months on and still smoke free .I can truthfully say its not bothering me and I now wonder why i did`nt do it years ago :o) Thanks for taking a look and take care Mick

What a gorgeous iris, and a beautiful photograph! It's funny, isn't it, finally quitting and not minding? I think we can't really quit until the time is right. It's an internal thing, and no amount of external reasons does the trick. I smoked for 28 years, and when the time was right, I didn't have any trouble giving it up. Congratulations!

Gosh, Mick. I'm so proud of you. I have had that same feeling in the past when I've quit. It was only about a year into it that I started wavering though. Everyone in my house smokes and being around it, even when they started smoking outside to spare me, got a bit too hard to endure after that first year. Maybe one day I'll be in a position where everyone I'm around stops too and then I won't be so tempted to backslide. This iris is so pretty. It is a hardy variety I hear and any of the purple irises are tops with me. I have so many different colors and fancy petal ones, but its always the simply purples that I find myself drawn to.
