Description

These ferns grow wild on our 7 acres here in the woods of Southern Oregon. The lighting on this photo is natural sunlight, but I didn't like the background, so I spent a couple of hours changing it to black with my brush tool. Is there an easier way to do this? Anyone?

I do not believe there is an easy way Bill! I sit with a stunning image of a praying mantis on a very busy background and have to go through the same pain!! Lovely work though!!! :)

I always love the darker background and the right lighting on your subject. Your image is beautiful. I'm curious what other would do to darken their background too. Excellent job here. Aloha

There is no easy way with a complex object Bill, but you did a swell job of this, excellent lighting effect.

Awesome! Simple and elegant with a blaze of excitment and drama. Lovely work and as far as I know...no simple cure for changing backgrounds.
