Description
Hi Everyone, I believe this is a giant leopard moth- a new species to me. I coaxed it off the ground and left it up on a fence post that it eventually left for greener ground. I took a half dozen photos of this moth and it never stopped moving. This being the best to show all of his markings and colors. Thank you all for the comments and favorites on my recent uploaded photos. It certainly helps keep me motivated. This camera and I have sort of reached a level of compatibility. Best of Day to you -GB-

That certainly is a different fellow. Goes to show that patience is often times rewarded. I am enjoying everyone's insect and bird postings. The most I am see are mosquitoes and who wants to photograph them.

You should have come with Alan and I to the butterfly farm, although it would have been quite a distance to travel for you. Excellent capture under the circumstances and a very colourful moth as well, love that blue on the head. Bravo!!!!!
