Description

The Grey Knights are the daemon hunters of the Holy Inquisition's Ordo Malleus, that portion of the secretive and all powerful organization charges with rooting out the corruption of the Fell Powers of Chaos from the God Emperor's domains and subjects. Psykers subjected to the most arduous mental training to make them prood against the corrupting influence of the daemon, the Grey Knights use their enhanced mental abilities to power their Nemesis force weapons. The Nemesis weapons is purposely designed to disrupt the material forms of daemonic entities operating in normal space. The armor of the grey knights is the of the highest caliber of the artificers art. Engraved with Hexagrammatic wards, the armor of the Grey Knight not only provides him enhanced physicial abilities, but also works to shield him from many of the powers of Chaos as well as to alert him to their foul presense. Based on Saturn's moon Titan, the Grey Knight's fortress monastery is a bulwark against the Great Darkness that threatens all of Humanity, where the battle brothers spend their time in study and martial training, honing their skills for the time when they will be called up to once again sacrifice themselves in the name of duty that Man might live on. *This newest character is still being put together, but I wanted to share him anyway. I have planned on using my last character creation for my next 40K image, but I have had some interesting ideas using Lukas here, so I believe he will have his coming out party soon. Grey Knights are the creation of Games Workshop for their Warhammer 40,000 setting. A Dark Scifi setting of the 41 century during the twilight of the God Emperor's galaxy spanning Human Imperium. Warhammer 40,000 is a succesful table top game of painted models as well as a successful series of books and most recently, video games. If you like your Scifi dark and gritty, I could do worse than recommend you pick up any of their novels and give it a go.

Werry great Character! i love the details on the armour! but i think the Psybolter on the arm is a bit too small?

You may be right there Torsis. I will see what I can do about manipulating it abit more as I add more things to the character. I also have to work on some textures for everything.

Before the novels there was a wargame...Excellent model is it available somewhere? I have a few squads of Grey Knights sitting in a box, having not been used for years. I Miss them terribly.:)
