Description

My son and took a hike up the south fork of the Merced River early Monday morning (before our river trip). At some places, we were on a very narrow trail some 200 feet above the river; this is one of those places. It looks down at a deep pool, had we had more time, we would've spent some time in that water. The Merced is always cold, it's fed by snowmelt, which also keeps it so very clear. The colors change every minute, from deep blues to green to almost gold. Rivers---they call me and I answer.

When I see clear flowing water I think beautiful but I know COLD. Brrrrrr:-) Great shot. Glad you didn't dive in from one of those high ledges...or Marilyn would not be posting anymore. LOL...since you didn't dive.

"beachzz" is too narrow a description. You should consider renaming yourself "waterbaby!" This is just beautiful - the colors are stunning!

the colors are beautiful, Marilyn, and the feeling of the shot is exuberance and explosive light. It's really a powerful shot, echoing the shamanistic phrase, "this place has power". Your lens was probably dancing from this! (LOL at tara's comment—"waterbaby".) Yeah, the beach isn't big enough for pieces like this. Beautiful piece all around.
