My name is Rich Jarzombek. I'm an old geezer, born in 1929, and first heard of 'Fractal Art' in late 2006. Educationally I am a Chemical Engineer who has never had the privilege of taking an art course. My wife and I are lovingly blessed with three children, their spouses and eight grandchildren.
The only fractal software that I use is 'Tierazon'.  Each of my fractals is based on its own unique mathematical expression that I created and inserted into Tierazon. In some cases I 'color enhance' selected areas of the fractals for easier visual interpretation while leaving the original underlying basic image unchanged. No overlays of multiple fractals, photos nor other artwork are used. It is my intent to restrict myself to the creation of fractals that portray substantive images such as people or specific objects and have a strong relationship between each fractal's visual interpretation and its title.
At the end of May,2007 I decided to design my own website, Realistic Fractals: http://realisticfractals.com to display my fractal art. It is a noncommercial, ad free site which contains my art sorted into three types of galleries: People Gallery, Objects Gallery and Religious Gallery. The 'mood' of these fractals ranges from serious to a 'touch of whimsy'. I respectfully welcome you to visit my site. If you have any questions or comments you may use one of the easy email links at my website or simply address them to: comments@realisticfractals.com

there is a fungus called a lobster mushroom. I took a photo of one last summer. it was about 8 inches across and bright orange. they are supposed to be safe to eat, but I didn't try it. :) here's a link to an article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lobster_mushroom I really like the texture on this fractal.
