That is a great capture of the wall cloud getting low. You low sun angle really works well here. Were the tv stations tracking this on radar? Tulsa stations have excellent radars, plus stormchasers in the field. I image you guys have similar gear on the upper Plains. Thanks for posting this.

Nice! One of those moments, where you're feeling fear and awe, at the same time and can't bring yourself to get to safer ground, sort of deal.

Nope radar isn't always the best up here, the nearest radar would be either Des Moines about 130? miles out or LaCrosse 90? miles out. Still both are shooting fairly high into the sky. We do have a great network with area fire depts for spotting. As for myself, I use my cell phone and tether to my laptop for internet with Gibson software my main radar source, and a small anemometer from inspeed to measure wind speeds. But on a good day like yesterday (6/18) we get chasers from all over (even the TIV made its presence), to bad it was a bust day.

Ooo-hoo-hoo! I love storm stuff! And what an awesome picture! We just recently had serious storming out here in Texas (as you might've heard), but it was nighttime otherwise I'd have taken shots.

Oh wow! Awesome shot!!!!!! All the good weather went south of us last night and today. My mom called to let me know the sirens went off twice last night and once today by here. Apparently Carthage College was hit last night and Somers too , don't know where they were hit today yet. All I could do is listen to while I was at work on my midland.
