Description
Sandy Planet by Alex Niko (untouched).
Hurricane FG created by WirePaladin / Slav & tweaked by myself.
Created with Volumetrics plugin by Dmytry Lavrov.
After viewing WP's recent animation in the forums I thought Id dig the file out & give it a crack & trying to create a render-able creation. Im not impressed with the result as it needs to have far more grittiness in the swirls & needs to have greater density in the column walls. The cloud layer (separate from the sand devil) simply refers to the same twister node. Also I set the altitudes for the top of the tower to meet with the lower altitude of the cloud layer.
Of course if you dont know mojo - then thats all just nonsense to you :-)

Pretty wild start, I know enough about MJW to know I know nothing about MoJo, can't wait to see where this takes you. Peace

Great work!!

One thing I should add for clarity is that the camnera POV is distorting the cloud layer which makes it look as if its sloped rather than more flat across the sky. I`ll be playing with this file on & off for a while now & will post back what I think are advancements. Thanks for the comments so far :-)

On seeing Wp's post a few days back I thought this was a cool concept.....I agree that the results so far are in need of a bit tweaking to get a more "realistic" looking twister....but this is a great bit of experimenting....Pushing the boundaries as usual Woz!!

I really like this idea... but there's something with tornado, there's something wrong somewhere.... mostly in the shadows..What were the render settings? Still a nice work, Warren :)
woz2002
You got it Alex...there are NO shadows..DOH.....reworking at current :)
