This one is dedicated to LizzieP, who's Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic (Across the Universe) story I very much enjoy. LizzieP has a great talent for creating scenes as well as stories. And though I find myself with little time these days, she inspired me to do a render of a couple of my Star Wars characters. My first render using Daz Studio 3. No postwork, as I still have no postworking skills. LOL! Short version of the synopsis as I lost the full version during the first upload attempt! Argin Thrawn, no relation to Admiral Thrawn, and Senator Lenoralei(Elenore) Velaru. Their story parrallels Darth Revan's story in timeline and the events of the Jedi Civil war. During the time that Darth Malak was desperately searching for the Jedi Bastila Shan, he also searched for new recruits. Malak found that his greatest students were those that joined the Sith freely. Argin comes from a "backwater" planet called Sanus Serru. Though sympathetic to the Republic's problem they wished to remain neutral like the Selkath homeworld of Manaan. During this time Argin was tricked into joining the Sith, after his homeworld was attacked by Sith, posing as an envoy of the Republic. Argin's entire family was killed and he was seriously wounded. Miraculously his wounds healed very quickly and he recovered within a few days. Days after the attack a Sith armada arrived with offers of recruitment. Furious at the Republic, Argin, among many others, happily joined the Sith with thoughts of revenge against the Republic, whom they believed responsible for the attack. Argin quickly rose through the ranks, while falling deeper to the Dark Side of the Force. He became a Sith master, quickly on his way to challenging Darth Malak himself for the title of Dark Lord of the Sith. It was a chance he never got. It was through the compassion of Senator Elenore Velaru that he was shown the truth of the attack upon his homeworld. It was while she was researching Argin, the Sith Ace fighter pilot who always left the Republic fleet in shambles, that she discovered the truth of his homeworld. Through great risk Argin's transport was captured. Argin, among other Sith personnel were taken prisoner. Though he could have escaped at any time he felt he could do more damage to allow himself to be taken and escape in a more strategic spot. It was during his trial that Argin was shown holo vids, downloaded from the stolen Republic ships, that the attack upon his homeworld was a Sith ruse. It was then that his further fall to the Dark Side ceased. His eyes were left completely devoid of pigment after his healing from the taint of the Dark Side of the Force. He refused to join the Jedi order, however. He and Master Vrook clashed. Though remaining calm and collected, he taunted the complacent Jedi, and nearly drove Master Vrook to anger. After all calmed down, Vrook wished to confiscate Argin's lightsaber, but Master Vandar allowed him to keep it. It was Vandar's wisdom of Jedi by action even if not by title. He foresaw a great ally within Argin. Argin still uses his red bladed lightsaber that he constructed as a Sith, to remind himself of his fall. He also constructed a blue bladed lightsaber to remind him of his redemption. He has sworn his allegiance to Senator Velaru who was the only one who took the time and risk to get Argin the truth which all others ignored. He accompanies her through all her dealings and acts as her security and bodyguard. Eventually the two fall in love, but thoughts of settling were put on the back burner.
