For my Dad, who passed away on April 1st of this year. I give my Dad full credit for this one, this is actually a picture that he took and sent to me, he sent me one other like this one that is a whole field of sunflowers which is just beautiful, and then I have one with him standing in the middle of this field, and one he took of my mom standing in the same field of sunflowers. Really missing him today, but I think the saddest day will be my birthday which is coming up soon, he always called me and sang to me. In fact this year on my daughters birthday he had called to sing to her and we were out and so I have that on my answering machine, sort of knowing then that it would be the last time he sang to her, (tears) but he called later that day and did catch her at home and sang to her, a tradition he has done as long as I could remember. I Miss you dad. And to all the Dads here on this site, I wish you all the a Happy Fathers Day. Added note: This photo was taken in South Dakota, which is the state my mom was from, they would go there each year and visit family, and tend to a house that had originally belonged to my moms grandma which they purchased a while back, and restored. My dad use to call it their " The Money Pit" house, referring to the movie staring Tom Hanks, because they had to do so much work to restore it, and all the complications and frustrations along the way. The one below is one I took while at home visiting last February.
