My name is Tony Shaw and I have been working for a UK Bank since I left school in 1983. I have spent from 1990 working in their IT department as a software developer. With the threat of redundancy hanging over me next year, and having written a web-site for my Dad, I decided to train myself up in web and graphic design and as a result found Renderosity.
The graphic tools I'm using in my spare time are Adobe Photoshop, Bryce, Apophysis, Terragen and Vue ... I don't have any particular favourite as they all have their good and bad points.
I have not posted some of my very early works as they are quite basic and would not look out of place in comics, however I hope you will take time to browse through my gallery so far and any comments, whether good or bad will be greatly received as they will keep me motivated and hopefully improve my designs.
Happy rendering.

fine hues, Tony, fine mists, the stones have wonderful variations in light & dark & texture, the woman looks on as if she is walking by and couldn't turn away, her posture isn't hurried but enrapt; and the large planet above it all looks like earth itself, and has the effect of watching us beneficently. It's all of an aura, and sensitively done. A fine piece of detail & vision.

Oh Tony, this is glorious .. it was right to set it aside until everything was to it's liking! I find that often with fractals too, sometimes they just will not be seen until the right time, the right color, or the right accessory comes along! Such perfect colors for the mists and the skies .. the overhanging moon (or is it a planet?), the one person seeing what's taking place .. awesome!
