Sonya, I'll be looking at your artid pages soon...I went there and there is so much beauty there. This image is very moving. It's like a soul between lives, or between deep journeys in this life; and she's deep within herself and yet surrendered to the cosmos; she's both, and there's no contradiction there...And she seems surrounded by waves of inwardness; and the birds, responding to her almost as to a scarecrow, seem comfortable perching on her, even if she doesn't want them there (or even notice). It's a mythic piece, a dream piece, and your greens and green yellows are more of your intuitive sense of color (right from your insides), as is the gesture and all it communicates. Beautiful; and with the others in this series (which I saw), it's a powerful evocation of a soul deep in a journey of the innermost heart. Very touching work, once more.

it is with love that comment back to you both. In between each piece that work on are these little "impressions" that are becoming a series of their own. While realize should be perhaps putting in a sketch of the work first would rather set down and just gesture out what comes at the moment. This one keeps coming back am sure it's something have seen along the way and the birds that come to the feeders often in and around the yard represent small angels in that they stay awhile. the phrase as above so below had read some time ago and it keeps coming back as a reminder in life of how should approach the day to day. Its a comfort phrase; an answer that keeps my mind focused without being heavy if you understand. Much as what will be will be no need to dwell on what cannot change (as my mama was fond of saying). Mark; your back with so much energy---you always touch my heart with your words. We all need you in our lives so...pace yourself! Love and light

This artwork does have a very spiritual quality, as if she is being lifted by the birds. It is quite lovely and engaging. I sit on my deck and watch the birds come to feed and it is very comforting. I especially enjoy the baby birds and the little hummers. We even get big ravens that only come when there are no other birds. CC

tis the crackles that try to swoop in and take over the big "crows" come now and again but our "bear" (mountain cur type dog) unsure of spelling; has taken quite a dislike to the crows so they don't linger long. Bear was bred to herd cattle in the midwest (much like the shelties are for sheep) Have had many dogs over the years yet this one has a heart of unconditional loyalty moreso than any we have ever had. He tries to herd the grandchildren when young..ever vigilant of their explorations. This year more birds have come to visit than in the past and find am including some in my work more often.
