My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Words aren't enough sometimes. Love is all there is. You know how this touches me.

HELLO. A most somber but well written piece. SADLY, there are far too many things in life that are ''Out Of OUR Pay Grade'' as it were. ~SIGH~ .... Maybe, IF we ALL decided WORLDWIDE to spend just 1/10th the money on MEDICAL RESEARCH as we do WEAPONS of WAR, it MIGHT make a difference? My BEST to you and yours, KIND SOUL. TallPockets.

Very powerful, Tara. Very touching. I assume this is the same friend you've written about before...you've written a poem of resignation, some deep pain, some deep anguish, and a lot of love. And as always you've done it with great grace & small 'breaths', like the touches & caresses you give your friend. And the last 3 lines ("But your story continues/Parkinson's/Is not fatal") are truly powerful. Having known people with degenerative diseases, I feel this in ways I can't say. Very touching, very direct, and in its absolute embrace of love & friendship & its unalterable rocklike truth, very you. Thank you.

Wow, well done. I can't say it any better than Mark has said it above. My reaction completely. Thank you for caring for your friend. Tara,...I am not full of biblical quotations but in this case, Matthew Chapter 25, verse 40 comes right to my mind. Here we read this quotation in Christ's own words, "Inasmuch as you've done it for one of the least of these My brothers [and sisters], you have done it for Me." Just writing about your friend ministers to others who may not even comment here. Well done.

Oh Tara, between Mark and Bill they have said it so well! Let me just add that I feel your pain for your friend. I know we have talked about her before and I realize how very deeply it touches you! Exceptional work! stywe druk en baie liefde Carin

Yes illness is a terrible thing, it can spoil ones quality of life no doubt, but the love in this message is the paramount key, so eloquent and well written sweetie

I wish I was there in person to give you a big hug. I know there is nothing that can make it better or go away. If you need to get it out in word let me know, I am an awesome listener. --- Big Hugs, Cheri

Incredibly well done, incredibly moving...it's a profound exploration of something so many people would rather not consider as a part of "everyday life." There's a certain boldness in this, an unflinching honesty that is all-too-rare in this part of the world. This is amazing! Profound! Touching!

I am so moved by your journey with your friend. You are a true friend to stay true to your friendship through the good times and the bad.

Touching and apt,....and to merely exist is no life. I'm so sorry for getting here days late. Playing catch up here is soooo hard to do, I find sometimes that the more I comment, the behinder I get. Roy Orbison did a song with the Traveling Wilburys several years ago. "Anything you want"? I made my youngest son listen to it, while he was in his early teens, after hearing him talk on the phone to two different girls, telling each that he loved them. The song pretty much explains what love means, no matter what, no matter how, anytime at all, always!!. I wanted him to know what exactly he was supposed to mean by saying those words, and if he didn't, to not say it. But you my dear, are the epitome of the definition of love, you and your depth of caring and compassion are the basis to that song.....I think I'll go play it shortly, and think of you.
