Pure watercolor. It's been such a joy to 'saturate' myself in your galleries last week: I cannot tell you. I come from classical music & jazz, and we worked in ensembles everyday: But when you paint, draw & render, you work alone. So when I returned here, I remembered the joy of being in an artistic community, a wonderful artistic village. Seeing so many of your works in one session was like going to a city filled with jewels. It's been wonderful... Now I have to catch up on my work, so I'll be here every 4 or 5 days for a while. And I think, it would be nice if there were a separate life for places like this, where you could step out of your present life and enter this one at will. But that's not possible...Well, the gaps won't be long, and if there are images you want me to see--since I can't comment on all that I miss--let me know! I'll be viewing everything regardless, that much I guarantee...
* * * * * * A wonderful summer week to all, & much inspiration & peace, Mark

I can just get lost in your work, I look at it, see all kinds of things, look again, and find something else. And it's joyful!!

Mark, as an old pilot who now lives almost exclusively on the ground:), I have seen this view hundreds of times. I recall the very day I decided to invest in my first flying lessons. I stood in Monterey, California looking up at a beautiful blue sky filled with big, puffy, white cumulus clouds and said to myself, if I could fly, I could go right up there and fly around that cloud. Well, I could and I did. Thanks for the memories. OMG, now I'm sounding like Bob Hope. LOL. See you when you get a chance my friend. Priorities are real, like it or not.

Your watercolour is quite magical.You may be proud of your experience because you just did a masterpiece.Two colours that meld and don´t lose its identity.I can fell the wet paper and the wet brushes working.You did so soft transparencies on top of each other....they look like a cumulus a great cloud around us and i can "feel" the"feeling" of bmac62,and the emotion he felt,because i can´t fly and i do...but I DO HERE in your painting and it is so exciting!Mark ,i use to say "i adore your blues"now, after seeing this, i say: I adore your work..You do the same with all the colours ..because,no doubt,don´t matter the colours..the colours are inside you!!Bravo!Thank you for this! AND:don´t worry about comments take care of you.

Mark this is such a beautiful work of art and a magnificent exploration into reds and browns as I have never seen or could have imagined. It has been so nice to have you here on a regular basis lately and your right that it would be nice to be able to get away in a seperate life here more often. Come back when you can my brother, and keep in touch

a river that runs between the rocky bed and sand. Watercolor to me is the ability to let go; and the magic of what is created beyond our stroke. Simplicity and imagination and the trust. Intuition is given in selecting the colors (have found the choice usually comes instinctively based on our needs at the moment) Perhaps read too much into it all but like smelling the fragrance of a flower in the morning dew its appreciated because it ties several senses together. It's like poetry that one picks up and reads when needed when you comment. Thank you for this music and poetry that you drop along the way!

I love the excitement of watercolor; dropping the color onto the wet paper and not knowing exactly what's going to happen. It's always magical, and this shows that perfectly. Lovely work, and we'll be glad to see whatever you post whenever you post!

Mark, May I request that you do a project that reflects the color of your heart? I wonder if there is a perfect color that could image the hues. I love your work,because it is your heart. Thanks for putting yourself into all you do. I hope you are feeling better, I've kept you at heart and prayers As I know you do each of us. KenyaRose(Connie)

There is something about this piece that just reaches in and touches those places in our soul that cry out to be touched. You must have painted some magic into this gorgeous watercolor, my friend. Thank you ...

It is quite lovely and earthy, with the reds and browns mixing together to make subtle shades of burgundies. As always your art is so expressive. It is the blending that makes it beautiful and interesting, just as the blending of different artists makes the experience here so beautiful and interesting. CC

A lovely wash of rich reds and browns. It makes me think of the layers of earth and how a topographical map (near Denver!) might look if a large body of water were allowed to wash away the top layer in a hurry. Wonderful detail!

Many interpret different memories of visions past in this wonderful work, but my instant reaction: rasters of bacon fried to magenta perfection. Stellar textures in another one of your highly imaginative concepts, Mark!

Your work is always a joy to immerse myself in! This is no exception. The great thing about this piece is the wonderful depth in this, the varied textures, the incredible gradations between shades of red, shades of pink, and rich, varied whites. There are elements of this that make me think of the surface of Mars, and yet, at the same time, I can see the face of an ocean. There is a dream-like quality to this that I really enjoy, that always evokes stories, and that's always the value of art for me...well, not only that, but a big part of it. I love being able to see something, hear something, sense something, and then find that there are stories waiting to be told. Your work does this amazingly! Great work, as always!
