Description
She was the dancer who caught the eye of a king....and held his heart.
Jakara was a dancer of very simple means. A member of the Karani - likened to gypsies -- she was of a social class on a par with barmaids and shopkeepers. But, she was an exotic, dusky skinned beauty that held the attention of all that came to see her.
Especially that fate-blessed night that the king, himself, slipped the leash of his protectors and wandered to the seaside tavern to soak in some of the local colour.
It was there on the magically lit stage where Giles saw the woman that would first make his job as king of Clerin at least halfway bearable (since his Royal Advisor had turned him down stone flat).
After purchasing her contract from the owner of The Blue Sword Tavern, Giles first promise to the ebon maned beauty was for a ride in the countryside he now ruled over. But first, she would need a steed.
Offering her the cream of the crop of the Royal Stables, she picked out a honey gold palomino with a gentle disposition, and warm, soft eyes.
Kosta.
Their first meeting led to an instant bond between the dancer and steed. And a more suited match one would have been hard pressed to find.

Sorry if the tale is not up to my usual standards, but I'm a bit distracted with trying to come up with stuff for the new Knight series that I've been promising for MONTHS now! So, just a few more slight diversions until I have all the kinks in the armror plates hammered out! I PROMISE!! :-)

You already know how much I love your new character of Jakara, my dear, and our delightful tale we've been spinning. You've summed it all up perfectly, and your image of Jakara and Kosta is simply stunning! A perfect pair! Very well done! Can't wait for the Knight series (when you FINALLY get around to it) and I'll see about working up an image of Giles when I finally buy the components I need for it.
