Years ago when I lived in Porter, Texas, I had a chicken. He was a white leghorn named Bob. A special fellow of good breeding. :-) What a fine portrait of your hen!

Pretty awesome zooming in!! Way closer than I think I'd ever want to get to one of these guys ever again. I have a brother that raised chickens, I didn't know, but soon found out that roosters have spurs,......and aren't afraid of you,....and know how to use them.

I love chickens. I don't have any here because of the coyotes, darn it. I just love it when they take off running across the yard for no reason at all...it always give me a sense of careless freedom and whimsy. And they eat up all the leftovers...good birds. You've a nice hen.
