Description

I've been struggling for years to come up with a logo for my company (SEspider Productions). I cthat now needs to be redone. And I've gone through a large number of concepts that just never seemed to work. Be it too complex, too detailed, too simple, or just plain stupid. But a sorta reverlation came to me last night. I was working working on concepts for a revamp of Holla-Back's logo for the newrevamped show (dovm.org) and it hit me! Well sorta hit me. I knew I couldn't use the image that I fist saw, for it's been used to death by many companies. I needed to personalize it some how. But how? Well, I needed the following: 1-Original 2-Simple but with a hit of complexity 3-Three colors (Red, White & Blue for USA Founded) 4-Smooth & Elegant 5-Needs to be able to have some type of animation applied to it easily. 6-Represent my company's name somehow. 7-And most importantly, represent my Christian Beliefs. That was a tall order to give myself. The last on the list is the first element I saw so that was a huge load off. My 2nd concept was just flat out terrible and prevented many elements from the list. But the 3rd concept doodle was the Charm! I insteantly saw everything I listed flowing from this simple doodle. Including the animation!! And here it is. I'm increadibly happy with it and proud of myself. The 3D part turned out to be the easiest thing EVER!! And I FINALLY believe I have the logo I've been searching for, for the last 23 years!!! A logo that can represent not only my company but myself as well. Now the 50 framed animation is simple and still a test. But it opens up a number of other animation possibilities. With that, it needs to be noted that the logo doesn't have one consistent look to it. The White and Blue parts change positions which drastically changes the look and feel of the logo. I'll provide a link the moment it's finished rendering and uploaded to the web. The above is Frame 4 if I remember correctly. --------- See if you can locate all of the Elements from the list I made above. ;) ___________ ©2009 SEspider Productions / Richard T. Nice Job, Richard!!! Keep in mind that logos were an extension of the old branding irons used in the old west to let ranchers mark cattle that they owned. Since a lot of cattle ranchers used the same range for grazing their cattle it was important that they have a simple and OBVIOUS symbol that represented their ranches so cattle that had their brand could not be claimed by another cattleman! Logos that are simple and represent your "Ranch" or your world/company will go a long way in identifying you to your marketplace! I think you've got a great start!!!! Keep up the good work!!!

I really like the ground texture where the reflection is, it's subtle but adds interest. Regarding logos, be sure to try out greyscale and outline renders of it too, sometimes that's all you get when you're printing things like business cards, letterhead or fliers so it should look good like that too. You might also want to consider what it will look like on a white background.
