Description

I am currently living in New Hampshire, USA. The American Orchid Society (AOS), is about 2 miles from where I lived in Florida. While I'm waiting for the rain to stop in NH, you are going to have to put up with some more AOS photos. They have greenhouses for the orchids but also have outside gardens. This is a Chenille Plant, native to Malaysia. The red "flowers" average about 10 inches or 25cm. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous comments & favs. Dana

Oh my - what interesting looking blooms these are Dana! I don;t think I have ever seen anything quite like it! Lovely fluffy strands that remind of a warm winter scarve!!! :)

I accidentally ended up at one of their shows in Shreveport a few years back. they have orchids I never seen even in books.beautiful plant and capture. Halifax is having none stop rain also

This is the first year I haven't had a chenille plant I always get myself one but didn't get out to the nursery that sells them this yr Everyone always ask what is that plants name.......and they just feel so fuzzy I love em and this will go to my favs Hugs Susan~
