Description

Designed to take up less space on aircraft carriers this was also a twin engine type. Two Mamba gas turbines powered a contra rotating prop. All round an unusual design which worked well on Royal Navy carriers such as Eagle, Ark Royal. This was the last version and carried a radar under the fuselage to provide early warning to the ships.

What a neat idea. Pity about the balance of the light in this shot but best to grab it when you can.
