Seriously though I do love this lighting setup: AB1600 in a large softbox above the model's head pointing down at a 45 degree angle firing at F8, an AB800 with a 42 in. shoot through umbrella on the floor firing up at a 45 degree angle at F5.6. Exposure is F8 at 1/200th of a second.
Postwork is RAW file in Lightroom white balance and exposure, then multiple layers in Photoshop as follows: Blemishes, lighten eyes, dodge and burn contouring and that is it. No softening layers or filters of any kind so that the skin texture is only altered by the blemish patches and is otherwise fully intact and original. Oh and I did extend her eye liner as the MUA had it stopping 2/3 the way across below here eyes.
This is the first time I have done this shot at F8 as opposed to F11 or higher and I am very happy about how the back of her head and shoulders are slightly out of focus while the mask of the face is sharp. I think I will use this next time as well. Thank you.
