Description

Im not in the habit of uploading multiple versions of the same project, but I recieved an IM that pointed out (quite obvious now I look at it) flaws in the origianal render, to do with the lighting and ambience levels. So here´s version 2. Ambient light settings for all mats is zero, bryce sun plus 12 radial lights. Thanks to rashadcarter!

I agree. This looks better then your first Post. And who says Bryce doesn't handle interior space well. Only other thing I would change to make this scene perfect would be to remove the fruit from the trees outside. I understand what you're trying to do there. I just think it's too much and looks out of place.

I've looked at both and I have to say this one definitely feels more 'real.' Nice work! :)

There is an even higher level of detail now... The overall brightness is less but the textures are more apparent...I think it's fantastic either way!!!!!!

Interesting... I don't know if the lighting fixed the floor texture of if you gave it a higher bump. Looking back at the other one now, I see some things that I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. I liked the brighter lighting on the previous image, but I see what you mean about the ambiance. nice rework!

Excellent re-working Lown. No question this version is much more realistic. One of the benefits of turning off all ambient glow and employing radials and ibl as indirect light, is that you get the benefit of shadow rays whcih picks up bump. Standard ambient glow does not interact with bump, but radials do and that is why the carpet looks so much better. I hope others will experiment with better forms of indirect light instead of ambient glow. Clearly the results speak for themselves!
