I have read a book about "Albatros" a German airplane, but I don't see it ! Great picture with good details !!!

Nice subject love some of the WW1 german paint schemes. Maybe a pfaltz now with a wild scheme.

That black paintwork must have made the aircraft look rather menacing to allied pilots. Many German aces flew it, including the Red Baron (Manfred Albrecht von Richthofen) though the knickname suggests he would have favoured a different colour scheme (Geoff?). I assume Goring was a lighter load when he flew this plane (joking)! Nice picture - as always.

Lovely views, as always, of a classic fighter. I've never seen this color scheme, only Herman's all white Fokker D-VII.

Great profile. Always loved the Albatros fighters.

I love the albatross..but the dlack scheme makes it look rather portly...like Fat Hermann perhaps?
