Description

------------- The Shadow Conspiracy – 5 of 7 – Colonel Thaymir Fulkhan

“You should know as much about the Colonel as I do.”

“How he handles prisoners, yes. His rather strange sense of chivalry, perhaps.”

“Well, obviously, you know he was General Retreus Fulkhan’s cousin, some three hundred years younger, and more like a son the General never had than a cousin. He spent his early years away in Carellon, learning wizardry and the arts of war from the Drovik General Honglathor. He returned to Foxmoor as a Carellonian lieutenant attached to the legendary Red Blade. When the liberation began, he gladly tore off his rank and switched sides. It was somewhere in the early weeks of the war that he was reunited with his uncle and became a Shadow Agent.

He is, perhaps more responsible for the King falling under the Shadows’ influence than any other individual. Were it not for the relationship with his cousin, General Fulkhan might not have fallen under their control. And were it not for the advice of his trusted commander and friend, King Rillivan would never have accepted their help.”

“How will he be?”

“King Rillivan? He will live out the last few years he has in comfort. We owe him that much. Most of the Shadow devices have already failed. It’s like watching a man being attacked by a ghost, aging visibly before your eyes. I fear his mind has already gone. He doesn’t know who he is half the time. No magic I can work has any effect. I even brought a conclave of mystics together, in the hope that together we might aid him. It seems the Seldarine have cast his fate and will not allow it to be reversed. A pitiful ending for a King who did so many great things.”

“But thanks to you, Dahlia, he will be remembered as just that great king. I’m proud to have been a part of your ascension.”

Emma placed a concerned hand on the Queen’s wrist. She smiled and wiped a tear away.

“Look at me. This is supposed to be a celebration. Thania, dear girl, fetch us some more wine, will you please.”

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

Ya know these are some of the most cunniving elves I've ever seen. From a Drow perspective it almost makes up for the happy day, sunshine and goodness ones.. Almost, but not quite. LOLOLOLOLOLLOL! Dude said it before and i'll say it again. You're universe is sooo interesting, and well thought out.

I'd have to agree with Mr. CrownPrince, particularly the last line... I've little experience with Drow, I identify more with Trolls...

I can see that we are definitely going to need Erienne and Savra to help with this bunch. Maybe Fallon as well. I wonder how upset the elves would be having an upstart Erotic/Paladin bring down their king. Very nicely done.
