UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Dang, you keep stealing my lines, I was SO gonna say, "while the sun shines"!!! lol Bucking hay was my son's first real job,he'd come home covered in it, but wow did he make some good $$$--then they went to those plastic wrapped (I still wonder where all THAT goes after they use the hay!!). gigantic marshmallows!!

Fantastic collage,

You've got me looking up various methods for baling hay, and I've learned far more than I ever needed to know about round hay bales! (Even an article on how to build a hay baler, including cutting the sheet metal, bar stock, welding ... you get the idea.) Just as a point of interest, it seems that the acoutrements of hay rakes and balers do NOT include a Pitot tube.

I am surprised to see both round bales and square in your photo. Most farms here do one or the other out of necessity. The smaller bales are common and can be seen on conveyors riding to many barn loft, though if the field will not dry, the round bales are made and often plastic wrapped in the field until needed. The sun was out yesterday for the first time in weeks- many fields sadly will lay down gone to seed if we do not get more sun soon. Excellent photo!

The scariest of the hay-making machines IMO, are the three-pronged round bale movers. Especially if a rancher drives a front-end loader with that fierce attachment at you.

Caught it right. The farmers round these parts are doing the same. From he lake to town there must be over a hundred bales lined up ready to be hauled off. They will be gone by the dinner bell tonight. Good shooting. Skipper

Great shots, Bill, and yes they have to work quickly, like here during wheat harvest, as the week of harvest always seems to have rain!

Square bales! You have to hunt real hard to find those in the UK now! A beautiful pastoral scene. Beautifully taken as well! Nice Bill! Nice. Rob.
