Description
"No matter who... or what, wants to get in, don't let anything through that door!"
Hello everyone and thanks for viewing my picture.
One of my good friends (Shadownet) has put together a really cool clothing item (Windy Wizard Robes), and I hope I've done justice to it with this image. I will admit, it took a little getting used to, and actually reading the 'readme' file, but in the end I learned a little something about Poser I didn't know. (thanks for the lesson, Ron!)
This picture grew one chunk at a time. First, I posed M4 and the Wizard Robe. When I conformed it none of the morph dials worked and I learned that you have to first turn off IK and zero your character, add your body morphs and mat, then (with your character selected) add the clothing item to the scene and conform it. This is important, because it links all of the Full Body Morphs in the clothing to the character (so they adjust with the character, too).
After that, I added the set, the dragon, and the other characters in the scene. I broke down and picked up a really good IBL light set, and played with it some to reflect my magic effects. Then I rendered it with the settings turned up as high as my poor little computer could handle.
Finally, I painted in the magic effects to coincide with the placement of my lights using my trusty 2nd hand Wacom tablet and Photoshop Elements 6. I've always loved the smudge tool, but I'm really starting to like the pen pressure tools, too. I did all the spark effects using that.
This picture is dedicated to Altec101, who has been a very faithful supporter of my work, and who posted a very cool looking picture for me yesterday. Thanks, Dave, I thought it was really sharp work!
So what do you think of this one? Please let me know, your comments (good or bad) are the reason I continue to post work here, and try to make each one better and better.
Thanks again,
Tom

Yep, Wacom tablet always saves the day. I like the way you did the spark effects, pretty neat. Not a lot of artists would like to do this manually anymore but you did it like a pro. Very impressive!
