Description

This is for my friend Philippe, a splendid artist (philuf)... I know how much you also like to use glyphs in your works so this is a dedi for you... hope you enjoy it ;O) Please, don't miss his gallery! I only used Ultra Fractal and some sharpening with PSP in this work and I think it's quite special! Info: The cancan is a music hall dance, performed by a chorus line of female dancers who wear costumes with long skirts, petticoats, and black stockings, that hearkens back to the fashions of the 1890s. The main features of the dance are the lifting up and manipulation of the skirts, with high kicking and suggestive, provocative body movements. The French painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec produced several paintings and posters of cancan dancers which are really splendid (A great inspiration for me doing this picture) ;O) Thanks for all your clicks. I appreciate your support and all the comments on this and all my previous works. Also a big thanks to everyone who added my work as a favourite. Have a wonderfulday! Elizabeth "The trumpet player" (for doarte) thumb_1906494.jpg P.S. I'm doing some changes around my gallery..... (This is an update done in July 2009) Sorry if it disturbs but maybe this way they shall only copy half of my work.... that's not as much as the whole picture ;( Thanks for all and keep up that wonderful art ;O) Manscostyle

Great thanks Elizabeth for Toulouse-Lautrec remembrance !!! Great abstract painting of this mood in the "Moulin Rouge" at Pigalle, where was danced the French Cancan by a pair number of dancers !!!

Love all there is to love about it! It could well be the original poster for the film Elizabeth. Yes - it really is something very special. It needs hanging. Don't hide it away :-)
