Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

(sharky loved it so much, he commented twice, lol!) (happens to me too, the site just can't let ya go!) Wonderful yellows against purples...you do print-like pieces sometimes, like japanese prints where nature is turned into bold shapes & hues in vivid contrast, & yet so simple. A really fine piece with amazing yellows & purples. Hawaii must be amazing.

I love this. It's kind of like Monet meets Andy Warhol; it is sharp but has this nice, dreamy quality to it. I really like the colors and the way the stems make this look more than real, but not shocking. Great work.
