Billy Bishop is officially credited with 72 victories, making him the top Canadian ace, and according to some sources, the top ace of the British Empire.... In my digital painting I am portraying Billy in his Nieuport 17 fighter which his mechanic painted the plane's nose blue after Billy shot down his 5th enemy plane...Blue nose was the mark of an ace... The Airplanes are free Google Sketchup models which were rendered in Vue Pro Studio 7.5 and then painted over with the correct markings for one of Bishop's planes... The pilot and the pilot with the parachute were had painted...

Nicely done Ken. You've been seeing me post several things from the beautifully up-dated WWI Museum in Kansas City. Billy Bishop's name is "on the wall" there with his 72 victories prominently displayed among the leading aces of WWI. Your render is well done and makes a great illustration for your story.

Billy has taken out one adversary, but the plane at 2 o'clock might just give him a shake up ! Nice work all around Ken, I especially like the Vue clouds, well done ! ~Cheers~
