Description
This is an imature Red bellied Woodpecker. We have a number of young birds that have chosen us to feed them this year. It is wonderful.

What a fantastic close-up of a bird so difficult to photograph IMHO. While out in the park last week we heard their distinct behavioural knocking of the wood but ...could we see them? lol excellent shot!
