Description

This was taken at My In-laws house in Mabalingwe. The Python was lazing around the rocks warming up in the morning sun. He was not startled at all by our presence, and continued to move out further as the sun moved. We got pretty close to the python, which I guessed at about 4 meters in length. It was if He knew that we intended no harm and it was as if He was showing off

As a rule and in my experience, pythons are not very agressive until you enter their "space." This is a lovely one and appears healthy and content. Wonderful capture.

Mmmmm - hope there are none of them in Bermuda!!! LOL... Lovely image indeed! My neighbour has the largest boa constrictor in captivity in the Southern Hemisphere. Duke (yes, that's his name) is about 8 meters long and it takes four grown men to lift him! Yikes!!!!

I love snakes and I would love this in my garden. Not much hope of that though! What a beautiful creature. A stunning shot! ^-^

My daughter found a 1m long olive housesnake in the garden recently. We just admired it a bit and left it to its own business. It was strange to see it out in the early evening in th middle of winter though.
