My corporeal form lives with my wonderful wife and six eccentric cats in beautiful Sedgefield, but my dreaming body is frequently elsewhere, exploring the fractal universe and marveling at nature's chaos. I love traveling to places that exist only as mathematical constructs on my computer and bringing back snapshots that sometimes remind me of the real world (whatever that means), sometimes of metamagical worlds we can visit only in our imaginations. I trained as a biologist and run a small company specialising in science publishing - writing, editing, illustrating and typesetting. For 3D world building I use Vue, Daz Studio and Poser, but I've also used Bryce since version 2 and done some work with Terragen, Carrara and Groboto. For technical illustration I use mainly Illustrator and Photoshop.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of Renderosity, and to everyone who has kindly commented on my images or added my works as a favourite, thank you for that too. Craig.

Great action render, Craig. One can always remember ...LOL Hey, nothing wrong with being a bit unshaven. The 5 o'clock shadow makes a man, anyhow!!

Fantastic collaboration. I love it. The intro is funny and wonderful. The POV sets this apart along with the atmosphere. The lighting is special--how the sun hits the spokes on the tires--it's fabulous. You can feel the effort in the character's pose and gaze. Yes, we've all earned our ages whatever those may be. Sharing, surviving, living life to the fullest, being creative and having grattitude, that's what it's all about in my humble opinion.

I like shiny things. Great image and collab. Might've been cool with your Giant face avatar.? Have to admit I haven't been biking enough and am getting a little soft myself. Messege to the young; don't be in such a hurry to get old...

a big sweeping vision, a common enough sight but in this treatment the rider feels like a god, the lighting enhances his stature, you two have lens flare (very effective), the wheels shine as if from within, I love the juxtaposition with the second driver (half out of the picture, which makes him/her seem all the more mysterious) and they appear to be driving through some craggy cliffed mountains, maybe in a canyon of some sort. It's a dramatic angle, and the lines & lights sweep us in. Terrific work, both of you: You two really do wonderful collabs. Craig, I'm still catching up and will return to your gallery again—that's a promise!—but at least I wanted to get an image of yours now so you know I'm intend to re-visit your vital and exciting gallery once again. Thanks for your wonderful comments on my work, they're so much appreciated! And I'll be back here this weekend. Love these collabs! A very dramatic vision...

Indeed a terrific point of view for the image my friend, and the canyon is also well suited. And if you think its easy trying to recreate someone from just an avatar think again! lol, I really had a blast trying though and its fun to imagine others as you learn them, I always seem to see you having coffee with B and taking in the day as the sun rays highlight your porch filled with relaxing kitties. And.... at times, it is just you both hunched over documents sketching away to bring knowledge to those that care to pay attention. It is also great to see you get out on your bike too though.... even if it is pixel perfect ;-P Great job Craig, and as always, most excellent fun doing collabs with ya! Vee
