Description
This is my first real shot at a render, so comments are welcome...! Model is blbarret's Strongblade (MP), background is the stairway from MnD Productions (MP), and the torch is from Architorture (Free Stuff). Rendered in Poser, post in Photoshop. (Suggestions to improve the flames are especially welcome...!)

Torso & upper body piece of the character would make an excellent image on its own if cropped. The lighting & pose bring an early historical pre-raphaelite quality to the image. The torch placed within the figures hand would also tie in more with the illumination of the armour. This is a super piece! .... keep em coming!

Mmm, you could plop the light on the torch but do the actual flames with Eye Candy 4000 in Photoshop, like the overall picture.

This is really good . I love the lighting and the grainy look to the image . As far as suggestions go , the flames should burn up , not out , laying on the floor ( unless something on the floor is burning , moss maybe ) actually it doesn't look that bad . Also the armor looks super smooth on the chest and legs I would suggest just a little bit of grain added in photoshop would help this .

The colors and lights rock!

Excellent image but i agree the flames on the torch needs more work. Brett makes some damn nice models you should see his new alien life form...it rocks....

Awesome render...I love the lighting and the textures that body armor rocks what this pic is missing is a couple of more bad guys with a few already littering the ground and blood splatter all over him...And since you are doing post in Photoshop go ahead and build up the fire in layers slowly moving up with the strokes even copy and paste the fire section while moving up each layer? and make sure as you go up with the strokes you also put more of a glare on him to match the flames....Hmmmm maybe an animation here I have been wanting to do one lately and with poser 5 on its way out it might just be more fun to wait then do it....Awesome thanks for posting...
