Description

Some WW2 hijinks. According to "Old Salts", new recruits heading west across the Pacific could only enter the "East" with the approval of the "Golden Dragon" - the ruler of the 180th Meridian. The real irony here of course is that its a sure bet that the traditional Dragon King of the Ocean would be somehow related to the Emperor of Japan. This image is rendered in Poser 6. The "dragon girl" is V4.2 with DAZ wet hair, a dragon tattoo added to the skin texture (a photoshop brush- DigitalDesignsUnlimited) and Creatura Serpenta tail with a customized texture). The mermaid's version of the "Kusanagi" sword is the DAZ multi-sword blade with a grip built from the DAZ Eastern Dragon. The approaching carrier and clouds were rendered in Bryce 6 and imported as background into Poser. I tried making "waves" in Shade but eventually settled on some Runtime DNA drapes, textured in the Material room. The diffuse, highlight, bump and transparency maps for the "sea" were created from scratch in Painter 8. The water drips were modelled in Shade 7LE. The bubbles are Poser primitives. There is little post-work other than signature, title, and adjusting the shadows a tiny bit.
