Description
The Olympic Stadium was built to welcome the 1976 Montréal Olympic Games. Its imposing structure includes the Tower or Observatory, which is the highest inclined tower in the world, with its 175-metre elevation and 45-degree angle. However, it wasn’t until more than 10 years after the Olympic athletes left this Québec city that the Montréal Tower Observatory opened to the public in 1987. The huge botanical garden faces the Tower. Here the fountains of the garden counterpoint the Tower.
