Description
This is my brother Kenny he passed on early Tuesday morning. He would of been 51 this month. He died after a short battle with cancer. Life was never easy for him, he suffered from Paraniod Schizophrenia. Half of his life was spent running from someone that was out to kill him. The last few years he settled down and was doing good while on his meds. He would ocassionally go of them and start getting paranoid again. He would self medicate with alcohol and would know when his was getting in trouble and check into the VA hospital to detox.
He is my second brother to die from cancer, my oldest brother died 5 years ago on Kenny's birthday. It is very strange once there was 9 of us and now there's 7. I feel so bad for my parents to watch there sons die before them.
This picture was taken on my dads 90th birtday, two years ago.

My heart squeezed when I read about your brother. It has never made sense that so many people have to go through such ordeals throughout their entire life. And with that, the family that loves them must watch helplessly. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love, He looks like a very strong individual and when he was on his meds, I bet he was a delightful person to be around. He had good sense to know when to reach for help. A rare quality in so many people with this disability. This is a wonderful portrait and memorial shot.

Sigh....I am so sorry to hear of this. Two of my brothers had passed away, in separate events almost five years ago, one from a tragic accident, the other from a massive brain tumor. They were also two of my best friends. No parent will ever believe it right to bury their own child, nor ever forget the fact that they had to do so. Birthdays and the usual family gatherings will be especially hard on them, including the anniversary of the day of their passing. I've already lit a candle in honor of your brother Kenny. Please feel free to contact me via site mail if you would like to talk, I have no answers, but perhaps we could just lean on each other just a bit.
