Description

This was not taken in a zoo , it is an animal rescue center / no kill zone. These poor creatures have either been hurt by humans, had an accident or has been raised by humans, because of these conditions they can not be released back into the wild, they would never survive. These creatures come here to recover and hopefully live a nice life. If you look closely in the owl's "left eye" / right eye on screen, you can actually see the bars that it was looking through that is what is on either side of his face. This photo has not been manipulated in any way. Thanks all for the views , comments and favs on my last upload!!!! Very gracious of you all!!! Hugs Trina ZOOM IS A MUST SEE

Looks like it might be a great horned owl. Nice grab!!, the bars in it's eye makes it seem like it's imprisoned. I'm glad that it's safe, but it's still not the life it was meant to have. You did wonderful Trina!!!

Great shot, you need a much more powerful zoom lens to focus through the bars.

Indeed, a beautiful creature... Luckily we have places to shelter such animals in a no harm zone, but sad it has to come to that. Such radiant and piercing eyes, that tell a story on their own. Very beautifully captured with a splended perspective!
